I love creating table settings. I always think through the message I am trying to convey and the feeling I am trying to conjure - fun, joy, elegance, or whimsy. I have found my process always begins with selecting the perfect base layer - a placemat.

Yet while curating daily tabletops and home spaces, I found it difficult to stay fresh and inventive. If I invested in one set of placemats, it limited my ability to find a different look each time.
